 Breaking the wheel of karma samsara is no easy task. Varanasi residents float these lotus flower candles out upon the holy Ganga River for good karma.

She is in a trance, swirling her fire in the air- waiting for the sun to rise the same way it does everyday. When it does, she will bathe in the Ganga and wash away sins of past lives.

goodman just showed me this. WOW - so beautiful. and NO it does not need to be sharpened. The softness is powerful and works with the subject. That lighting is to die for.
