This is a complete departure from my usual processing, so I'm interested in seeing what reaction and feedback I can get. I THINK I like it, but I'm not totally sure yet! (That should guarantee a total bomb...)

Noiseware, straighten and crop. Used high pass, followed with a bit of gaussian blur. I then used the history brush on his face, hand and boots to remove the blur.
Tweaked levels, burned grout line at right edge, resize, USM, save for web.

Afterchallenge;
Pretty much what I expected; some liked, some didn't :)

that filter goes against the spirit of street photography, imho. which is too bad, because the photo itself is right on target. 6

I'm not sure if I'm a huge fan of the processing, but I really do like the shot - I like that he's looking out of the frame, and for some reaon, I really like the reflection of the hubcap in th ewindow.

Great shot, but it doesn't look very well

Tone mapped? Looks a little soft and for me, the crop is on the wrong side of your subject. Lacking a touch of contrast, and the post isn't doing much for me personally.

over-HDR'd in my opinion

love the lighting and the whole photo. but if you had photoshop you should have burned out the sign in the bottom corner of the glass, IMHO.

Have you tonemapped the picture? I'm not fan of this kind of rendering.Not sure the reflection of the car adds anything. But the guy has a nice attitude.

Very interesting processing.

Bumping this from a 6 to a 7. Something about it is just really cool.

I like the shot ie the composition, but am not crazy about the b/w conversion.

The cars' reflection really makes the "street" aspect of the challenge work. nice PP.

Nicely titled and fairly well composed. Starbucks? sneakers and communism - but after all, it was always about China rather than communism. Hence the reason Russians called the Chinese 'radish communists' - red on the outside and white on the inside.
