You know, Mark, I love dogs. I have 6! So you can imagine ... and this shot is special to me, because seems his feeling so well that we almost can feel it. So, let me share this with you, it's my favourite quote about dogs:

“The great pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.”

Ohmygoodness! What an a-MAZING photo! The composition, background and lighting are to die for -- but the LOOK you captured in your dog's eyes. It is so intense and beautiful!!! It actually makes me wish I KNEW that dog and could plant kisses all over his face!!! :)

I believe it is actually a Rhodesian Ridgeback, but I also have a pretty unreliable memory.

This may be my favorite of the dog group. The light eyes of the Weimeraner just POP off of the page with the catchlights. Man, you could sell these. Oustanding work, Mark!!
