Generally, horizontal or vertical lines aren't as interesting as diagonals (as others regularly remind me). I also think that brightening this a lot would help. I realize this was minimal editing, but for future efforts, try adding more light or lengthening the exposure time. |

Honestly for a minimal editing, I think this is a terrific shot. I see some much potential here, and post would really bring it out. This one should have scored a bit higher. My only suggestion would to have the needles coming toward the viewer in focus. Great shot. |

You did a really good job with exposure and DOF on this! The composition feels a little bit square, but still a very good entry. |

Nice macro. Might like it better angled up a bit but the colors are soothing and the detail is pretty good. Nice wintry feel to it. |
