This isn't really Street Photography. This is my wife Terri posing outside the library in our local village. I was trying get to get a look of someone waiting for the library to open. Looking back I should have pinned a sign up saying "closed" or "back in 5 mins" or something.

The villiage of Puhoi has it's own website here (but it's not the best looking site in the world!) This is a working library but it's never been open when I've been around so I guess it opens for a couple of hours during the weekdays and that's it! The building itself is very old and not much bigger than a single car garage.

Compositionally, I like the shot and think it has a balanced, stable feeling to it. The perspective of the building makes it have a surreal feeling to it, and that just kind of adds to the feeling of the shot, I think. To see a library that small, and you expect that it should be much larger, so it all seems a bit unreal. The only thing I would suggest is to move your model to the other side of the door frame. That would get her out of the almost exact center of the shot.

Technically, I like the colors, focus, and exposure. The sky is a bit "too much" and is almost too bright to feel real, but it is still pretty.

Overall, it is an interesting shot, and I suspect that it wasn't quite "streety" enough for most people.

Feel free to contact me if I need to further explain or clarify anything.

Maybe not technically "street" but very clever. No signs necessary. Would be an interesting experience to get a look inside. Great find!

Colors look oversaturated and the whites are overexposed. Does not exactly fit into the Street photography theme also. 4
