a photo of my aunt who works with the homeless in downtown des moines. just happened to be able to spend some time with her thursday & she took my son and i on a tour of the area, showing us different projects and shelters she works with. she's very passionate about what she does.

her response to this picture: "it's horrible!"

after editing this a million different ways i decided on this style. a little different than i am used to doing. am very curious to see how it does.

I like this, but it borders on being an environmental portrait. I can see this as a photo to go with a feature article in a newspaper or magazine, but as street photography it does not quite convince me.

I like how you made the eyes magnify through the glasses. Cool shot........6

nice portrait. like how the eye is led off to the top right. the branch then hanging down becomes a distraction for me. processing has a very street feeling for me, not sure about the choice of subject for this challenge.

A portrait, not street photography. As a portrait, this is nice, even if overprocessed.

The charm of your subject really comes through. Great tones in this photograph. Nicely done!

This is more of a portrait shot to me. It's not interesting, no story just a man looking at the camera.

What makes this closeup work as a street photograph, is that we can see the hint of the sidewalk and the building behind her. This is really good!!!

Not quite as candid as street photography could be...
