Bryce Canyon in Utah is an amazing place, but I'm the first to tell you that it is a difficult place to photograph. There are so many extremes. You can see that some of my whites are blown out here. For the print, I can burn those a little. This is one of the few images I really liked from my recent trip there.

I got lucky here, too. I didn't realize my aperture was at f 8.! I would have guessed to make it much larger to blur the background even more. But I actually like it as it is.

I increased contrast by 10%, cropped, sharpened and added a border to increase the vitality of the colors on the gray website page.

I cant really tell what this is. Looks like mountians (perhaps Sedona) in the background with snow. Wish they were more in focue

A well done and interesting photo; I am not as convinced it makes a good literalisnm, but I do like the shot!

While I like the literalism you have chosen I feel that the portrayal of it could be better. In your photo the main color that pops out is the green from the leaves. I can hardly tell what "is in the red" and on my monitor it looks more like what is in the brown. I am not taking points off for that because all monitors vary -- just saying that as an aside.
