Not a lot of people out and about this week 'cuz it's too cold, so I looked for some other sort of irony to photograph and found this sign on a frozen fountain. No one else even seemed to notice as they hurried by. The absurdity of the prohibition in winter is that no one is likely to defy it; in summer it's another one of those old-fashioned "simple pleasures" that got the fun regulated out of it, probably for fear of some sort of lawsuit.
I may get low scores for not including people, but maybe it will make a few people smile.
PP - cropped, converted to duotone, made 3 layers, increased contrast and changed white balance to bluish on bottom, set black point on middle and white on top, set top 2 layers to 50% transparency, merged 'em all, resized, burned distracting line in background, sharpened |
