 These two guys were really fun to talk to. The one nearest is 'Disco Dave' and the other is 'Chaz'. Note that there is grass on the steps! They had planted flowers in the grass and on the bit where they are sat was a carpet - but somebody stole it.

This scene fascinated me. Whilst the picture captures the reality of the day to day life on the street, it presents another interesting insight. The retro-punk is sat in an elevated position - lord of all he surveys. Whatever his circumstances may be, he wants to be noticed - his hair, clothing, stance and stark stare bare testimony to it. The guy in the background is less 'in your face' - he's in the background gazing away. He doesn't want to engage in the same way - he too is sat in the same elevated position, but out of conformity.

Very cool shot. The editing is dead on but what grabs me is his stare countered by the his buddys gaze away. This just has a cool feel to it. Very nice.
