Hmmm. heavy idea - love last forever even tho people don't. I think what might have been nice or had more impact is perhaps a shot where the angle shows the sun or something else living - to show the promise of the idea? Or maybe your subject looking into the future. Just a thought. I think the pink is a bit overdone here but I do like your basic idea.

the color work here is very jarring and unpleasant. this may have been your intention, but the message conveyed is more horror movie than sorrowful remembrance. sorry - 3

the tinting spoils this picture for me. It seems to be random what is pink and what isn't

I love the concept, but didn't care for the colorization. It detracts from the subject matter. I think a simple high contrast B&W would have been better.

The selective coloring doesn't work for me here. It gives the shot a bit of a washed out feeling to it.

Aside from that thought you caught a very emotional moment and shot it well.
