border takes away from the image and I would like to either know what the background is or not see it at all.. potentially a great image. 7

Background is kind of distracting for me. Is it a painting? Also I don't like the variation in the border size. Otherwise cool shot.

I like the lighting and the composition of the image, but for me the focus is just a little too soft.

Could have done well without the inner border (gold). The photo speaks for itslef. Nice shot.

Imo, the frame spoils it, looks a bit gimmicky, I like the composition, and the colors, focus is a little soft, but I think it’s intentional, if I ignore the frame, I’d give it an 8, so lets ignore the frame, 8 it is.
