 Sometimes I'm sooo stupid! I think this to be more of a street photography. I know this won't do well and that many will claim "DNMC" because they won't get it. I don't care, I needed a shot for wpl and the brown is still better than a zero. I hope someone gets a laugh or two. I shot a bunch of these and herded the poor geese till they were in position but they wouldn't look at the sign. I cropped sahrpened and converted to black and white. Adjusted the levels and shadows/highlights and finally, brightness/contrast.

Ok, I'll admit, I still don't really get this one :( It's strange that your average of the commenters was only a 3.8... guess the ones that didn't like it told you so! They have some valid points, and mostly for me it was not really getting it (but not wanting to claim DNMC), and the odd view of the bird waddling away from you. It's a nice convertion to b/w with a nice range of tones though. Go Team D50! :)

shot seems a little flat and composition is too busy and cluttered. the sign post merging with the duck and its bill doesn't work compositionally. also, not a very flattering angle on the duck. sorry - 3

I really like the spontineity in this picture, however there is something about the goose's nose running into the pole that throws it off. The long depth of field really works here though and the black and white also is cool. :)
