I really like the shadow and am surprised at how much I like the composition. I normally don't like the framing options but, it really works here. Great Job !!
Yes, yes, yes. I love the simplicity, and I love the way it seems to taunt the viewerw with only a glimpse. The desaturation works, and the shadows are cool.
Nothing I can think of would make this a better photo for me, you did an absolutely stunning job.

I'm trying to imagine how this would look with all but the red of the tulip desaturated?
I love this image, but I don't know why. I don't know what's right with it, and I don't know why it appeals to me. But it does, so there must be some "rules" in play here. The border is nice and effective.
Very interesting composition! This has worked so well, the shadow, position of the head of the flower and stem/leaves is excellent. The high key type effect to the left is nicely done and works well against the shadow and dark colour of the tulip. I also think the frame is a great choice! Really nicely done :o)
