To everyone that left constructive criticism I really appreciate the comments. I went with this photo because this was my first challenge, I figured I wouldn't get too beat up in the scoring and would receive some helpful comments.

When I went to take the picture it was night and all I had was a 60watt desk lamp. Higher shutter speeds with brighter/closer light kept producing nasty blown highlights on the metal.

Technically - this is a very nice image - clear, well lit, sharp, good contrast. From a story perspective (and I think that is really needed for this challenge), it seems rather antiseptic.

I had a friend that played bass and he had a black fretless Fender... such memories. :) I like the clarity and detail of this shot :)
