| Love the fact that the BG is not perfect black, it add a mysterious depth to the shot in my view. The subtle exposure on the head vs the harsh highlights on the eyes and the beak are very nice. Great shot. |

| Evil and glaring- it is the imperfections that make this picture perfect. the eye of a pigeon, the glare of a crow- the wisdom of a magpie! nice! |

| Great composition. The vivid black hue of the bird is really set apart from the dark background. The highlight on the eye helps to make it look realistic. Can't wait until this challenge is over to choose it as a favorite. "10" |

| I can't make out much of the face, especially compared to the beak. I do like the choice of a black background and your using it for negative space. 7 |
