While visiting relatives in Liberty Township, Michigan, I stopped by the ol Mill Pond where me, my brothers and sisters and cousins all gathered to swim and swing across the pond. This was a major summer past time for my mother and her relatives when they were younger as well. The mill was owned by a great uncle along with the store and barbershop nearby. The Masonic hall and fire station were across the street. This was the big gathering place for all of the farmers in the area. The area still consist of many large dairy farms. One of my cousins now owns the dairy farm operation that has been in our family since mid 1800's. In Jan of 2004 I went back to this water hole to take another shot at it, this time with my camera.
