Well, one could certainly feel the bass from there! :) I love the way you made the strings look like they are vibrating but still at the same time. Great DOF. Lovin the B&W too.
This is a cool idea. I'm not sure about your choice for the in-focus part. It doesn't seem to have a real compelling reason for focusing on that part of the strings.
The perspective on this is pretty interesting, but the use of shallow DOF doesn't work for me on this image - not enough seems in focus. In addition, there is a strange bright spot in the background that has a series of rings that is a little distracting.
