| Jeesh, Charon has a spare boat? Beautiful shot - like the near graphic quality given by the very still water and that tongue of land. Can't quite imagine the borders of hell looking so peaceful, however :-) |

I liked this image from the first moment my eyes caught a glimpse of it. I think this is because of three reasons:
1) Wonderful fall colors, light & well composed (reflections)
2) Peaceful landscape. It looks like a nice place to ponder about life, the universe and the rest. It is like: Stop! Take a rest........ Ahhhhhhh........... Ok, hit me with another week of work.
3) Great use of leading lines. You've got the slope of the hill, the shoreline of the pond and the lines of the paths. The eye wanders across the frame.
What really adds to this photo are the boats in front. Without them it would look too empty.
The only thing I don't like is the sky. Too white. But with the current rules you have to make a tradeoff between the sky or the foreground. It think you made the right choice. 9 |

| After studying your photo again I am raising the score from a 7 to an 9. I really like this a lot. The tones are very warm and pleasing. Good composition and depth of field. Good detail in the shadows. Very well done. |
