 This picture, taken on Sunday, shows a few moored pleasure boats with a cloud shrouded city center behind them. Even though Vancouver doesn't really get cold in the winter (an average high of 5-10 degrees C at the coldest), it does stay cloudy and rain most of the winter. So, while during the summer weekends these boats would be out and about, they don't get much attention during the winter.

Love the colors in this shot. The colors of the boats really show up against the muted background. Very very nice.

Love how the boats and water in the foreground are so clear and the city is kind of mist covered. Really helps the boats stand out.

This is SO awesome!!! What contrasting feelings -- the calm peacefulness of the canoes on the water -- with the energy of the urban cityscape. This is so beautiful!!!! I LOVE IT!

The lonelyness of the boats against the city is neat. It makes you wonder if anyone will come back to use the boats. Very well done.

Sail boats! Oh, and buildings. I would like to visit there someday. The dark water makes the boats the center of attention for me.

Sigh. Sometimes I miss Vancouver sooooo much. Today is one of those days and this picture really isn't helping the problem.

Great mood to this with the fog around the buildings and the dark yet somehow blue water. I'd really like to see this picture but with the green hulled boat playing a bigger part in it. But that's just me wondering.

Really, thanks for the memory.

Sigh.
