A Ground Hornbill or Bromvoel. Critically endangered. .
The sound they make – to me-signify the African bush. (after the roar of a lion
the cry of a fish eagle and the evening dinner bell of the guinea fowl.)
Their low pitched “do……..do……..do-do…….do” travels for miles on air.
