 my wife in a denim skirt ... pretty simple composition. i adjusted the light because i wanted some interesting shadow.

how'd i do the selective desaturation? simple ... add a hue/saturation layer, pick the yellow channel and slide the saturation to -100. i also increased the saturation of the blue and red using different layers.

very, very simple!

slective desat works from some image, though i don't think it does for this one. with that said though, you did a very nice job doing it. i like the compostion and the visual movement in the frame. i don't see a top 10 finish here but I don't think the image is all that hateful.

not sure how you did this under basic editing, i'm new though, so if you would say how after challenge is over. it's a cool shot for the challenge.8

I don't like the desat. Natural skin tone woulda looked better to me.
