Bridge leading to Montecello at sunset. I was taking a leisurely sunday afternoon drive, shortly before sunset, and then saw the amazing textures on this brick wall... the sun was setting and the light was coming almost parallel to the wall bringing out the shadows and textures. I quick parked on the side of the road and ran to get some pictures. Within a few minutes the sun had set, but not before I got some great images. I want to go back at some point with a tripod in an attempt to get even clearer pictures, but I am very happy with it!
I have been working on black and white images in my 2007 photo-a-week blog and thought this would be a great way to get a high-contrast textured image. I hope people like it.

Asim - This is a nice texture/pattern shot. To be honest, I docked it a point for being a stretch to the challenge criteria, but it's so subjective... Would like to see more of this from different angles too.
Hi Asim - nice capture of details and texture! Did you find this photo was more striking in contrast compared to one done in color? The sunlight really added something here. Great job!
I like your subject and title. It is good indeed. Not to strong and not too soft. The texture is very interesting making it pleasant too look at. Fresh idea in this challenge.
