 Cropped. Used channel mixer to make red more orangy and blood coloured. Used dup layer and paint brush to re-define the stitches that were painted out with acrylic paint in the setup. Cloned some red up between the fingers to make it just a biiit taller. Used dup layer with smudge, history brush, and blur to take care of the trees that were in focus in the notch in the tree. One layer each USM, Neat Image, levels. Resized, burned around edges and dodged mouth just a bit. Sharpened x1. Used reduce noise filter 1x.

I actually had to paint my volleyball white during setup because they don't seem to sell plain white ones anymore. This one had red and blue all over it :(

That's my handprint and post print smudging around LOL I hope I got the face right enough. I figured if anything in this world represented personification, it was this. Emotion towards the ball was strong in Cast Away and I suppose this little ball was the only reason the guy did not go crazy on that little island all alone.
