I took some left over building material, pillars for a front porch, and laid them on the side. Then I place a cloth behind the opening, but left room to shine a light thru it. The inside of the pillars was all rough and pitty. I was amazed at what the photo looked like after I took it. This was a case of taking a picture and finding a title to fit it. I wonder how many did it that way instead of finding a title and setting up the picture to match.
Thanks for all your comments. I did think I should have more on the right and bottom but there was another pillar there that had to be cut out to make it look like a fake eclipse.

Beautiful shot...but I feel it is cropped a little close.

I like your concept here. The colors and lighting are very nice. I would like to see more negative space at the top and bottom of the image. 7 -danny

I like the look of the image but don't know what I'm looking at which ruins it for me. Sorry!

Light coming down a well or some other cylander? Neat effect! I like the gradient of blue. Wish it weren't cropped so close on the right and bottom.

Cool setup. Are we looking out of a tube with the light source outside?
