 OK I was inspired by Ivory's "Sly Fox Versus Sly Photographer!"! It was a beautiful day here in Anchorage and I had not been to the zoo so I figured today was the time to go...
For all of you who have shot in a zoo it is not very easy! This is shot through all those little bars this poor little guy/girl was in. I had to wait for the perfect pose and positioning with the fox away from the fence and me the right distance to get him/her in proper focus with no bars in view. I really don't think this compares to Ivory's winning shot but I really like it.
Editing included:
Flip horizontally, dodge.burn, small cloning, unsharp mask a few times and color adjustments with Reds, Yellows, Blacks and Whites. Finally, bumped the Contrast a hair and I also rotated slightly and cropped!

Wonderful shot, I am very flattered that I could inspire you and I feel you have really done a great job. Can't believe this was taken through bars! Amazing that you could do that and have it look so natural. I would never have known!

Wow, that is an impressive shot right there!
Great focus and emphasis on the eyes, the sharp details on the whole face allow you to get lost in there.
