 it is a real capture. the card was thrown not hung. It only took about 5 throws at 5 frames per second.


edit post: thanks for all the votes and nice comments. My second top 10 in a couple of weeks!

Got chosen as the POTD at Steve's Digicam and ended up winning 3rd place for the month!

A fairly typical shot here. I expected a few of the same type theme. It is well executed though. Maybe a bit too much black space, but maybe it was needed... At first glance I did not notice the smoke coming from the cigar. This is what really makes the picture. I might have liked the smoke to be a little more prevelant, hopefully others catch it as well. Maybe a bit more in the depth of field department might have helped??? Without the smoke, just an average picture, but with the whole cigar smoke thing going on highly rated.

not the most original, but well excecuted. I would have also like the chips in focus, if possible, but the maverick ace of spades is clear and helps the shot out. Good.

there are many things to like about this picture the most i think would have to be the fact of thedealer an the way he is throwing the cards.
