It is a bit difficult to determine your intent with this image: was it for the serene and time-honored feel or did you mean it to have more intensity? The intensity is just not there for me and yet the marking of the unknown soldier tells me I should have more of a reaction. I do, however, get the sense of peace and tranquility that is marked out by the many tombstnes. Interesting image.

Thank you for your helpful critique! One of the next things I need to buy is filters. The sky was very overcast, so there wasn't much color there to work with. My intent with this image was to capture the peace of a military cemetary (this was just before Veteran's day), and I felt better about featuring an unkown soldier as opposed to showing a stone with a specific name. I felt a little uncomfortable photographing such a sacred place. Thanks again! Steve

We have a similar cemetary here in our town, really makes you stop and think sometimes doesn't it? I like the idea behind the shot adn the different angle is nice to see because so many are done at an above tombstone level and the way you set it to draw one in from one side to the other. I started at a 4 on this shot because at first glance the overall shot didn't really appeal to me but upon further inspection I really like the way it was done and am bumping it up to an 8

LIke the composition and the color is perfect for the scene. The tombstones are not washed out which so often happens with these type of photos. I like the angle also. Very good.

Nice and simple - I like the stark white of the stones, lined up and coming out of the corner - wish the grass were a deeper green, and wish the sky weren't so light (polarizing filter would work)
