3 months into our pregnancy. This is my beautiful wife!

:)

First use of my backdrop. Need to move model further in front of the back drop. But not enough space in the room. Converting garage in near future.

Wonderfully balanced, very soft, very Victorian, wall colors are great, all around beautiful photo.

good pose and setup, but direct flash creates a too strong shadow on the wall ...

What a beautiful mom to be. Congratulations. I like the simplicity of this image.

A closer crop bringing the dresser's edges off the frame would have added two points to this image. 6

Congratulations BTW!

This is such a nice shot of the person but the props are terrible. I can handle the chest of draws but feel the shot would have been much better without the flowers. Just seems cluttered by them.

This is one of my favorite subjects. The lighting is a bit harsh and I'm not a fan of the background. I prefer to see maternity photography with softer lighting, more muted colors (preferably black and white), and simple poses. My personal belief is that in maternity photography, the main focus of the image should be the bond the mother has with her unborn child. Too many props, colors, etc take away from this meaning.

I like the photo. The hard shadowing actually works for this image. But... why is she sitting on a chest of drawers throws me...

congrats on the pregnancy, but unfortunatly this seems more like a snapshot than art, dont get me wrong it is a nice shit, but the shadows make it seem like it wasn't planned carefully. sorry if this was too blunt, i still like it.

Flash lines might be my biggest pet peave.

A nice photo indeed. I'm wondering if the frame was squeezed tighter to show only the flowers, face, breast, and background, if that would notch this photo up. As it sits, its right in the middle. Nothing that makes it over the top, and nothing that sinks it below average. The spectrum of colors is very pleasing to the eye.

flat lighting. cupboard is too dominant - might have worked better in b/w

A wonderful and precious subject, but the light is most unflattering

Work on your shadows, and perhaps crop a little tighter.

Congrats on your baby! I think this photo has some potential but loses some of its effectiveness by using the onboard flash for a few reasons. First it gives very strong shadows on the wall, second I think it does not do too much to help show the lines of the mother to be. One thing that can help get more of a natural feel is to set your flash to rear curtain and cover your flash with tissue to help diffuse the flash. The rear curtain will help let ambient light in to help with the flash also. I think the drawers seem to be the dominate the frame and take the emphasis from your model abit also. But I do really like her pose and think it works quite well. Just my opinion, congrats again.

Lighting is very harsh. Needed more distance between the subject and background to avoid those strong shadows.

Very delicate feel to the whole frame which suits the title so well. The uniform light is great. The pose reflects protectiveness and the colors are nice. I think there are flowers - a bit too many and are competing for attention. Maybe a uniform background could have made it more 'WOW'. I like the feel and the overall impact of the capture

A nice idea. I like the classic pose. I think the lighting seems a little harsh, and is holding back the presentation here. See the pronounced shadows on the right of model, flowers and bureau? Maybe diffusing your light source, going for a more subdued look could strengthen the image.

The background color, the dresser, and the flowers are all very distracting, and the whole scene seems to be lit poorly. You should try to use lighting and depth of field to establish a primary subject, and then perhaps another that is secondary. This photo is rather flat in lighting and depth.

Lighting is too harsh, backdrop is too obvious.

The lighting on this one appears to be a little harsh, with well defined shadows. I think I would have pulled the entire thing out from the wall and let it blur the BG a little bit. (Oh, and congrats!) :)

Softer lighting with less harsh shadows would have improved this image dramatically, as would holding the camera lower and angling up more to make the verticals of the chest of drawers parallel to the verticals of the image frame.

I can almost see the faire wings on her back (she looks like a pixie). Love the pose, composition and colors, through I would've cropped in tighter (just my taste). Good job!

Very pretty model at a delightful stage of pregnancy. I'm not sure the 'set' does her any favours though. Perhaps something simpler, and adjust the lighting too avoid the shadows.

I like the simple, real presentation here. A little less harsh light would emphasize the lovely curves and shape of your model.

Love the wall color and contrast with the skin and dresser but it seems a little clostraphobic the way you crop the image. Would have been much better if you had her on the other side facing the other direction and no cropped as closely. (BTW, she is very lovely)

Such harsh lighting isn't flattering to anyone, even your lovely model. But otherwise a good photo, in particular the background color works well as a contrast to her fair skin color.

Congrats and this will be a lovely keepsake. One critique in lighting is that you really want shadows to fall behind the subject, not in front of them.

A beautiful portrait. I like the calm it exudes. Composition nicely balanced, lighting might have been a little more even, perhaps a 2nd flash slightly left of the model.

Beautiful but would have been so much nicer with no direct flash, but at least 2 sources of diffused lighting. Good luck.
