This is Kristín, some of you may know her as I have submitted photos of her before, mainly my "Out of nowhere" season series.

This photoshoot got put together in a REAL hurry cause I am pretty calm about DPC these days and didn´t notice the challenge till tuesday. The problem was that Henny was going on a weekend trip on friday and needed thursday to prepare for the trip, pack and stuff like that so we had to do a shoot either that same day or on Wednesday. Fortunately Kristin was available on wednesday. A friend of Henný´s, Eva Hrönn came along, she is also a makeup artist and the two of them body painted the flowers all over her and glued the butterflies (wich are fake plastic ones, not real) on Kristín.

Since we were pressed for time, we let Kristín decide wich was her better side and just painted that side and as you can tell, that means her inner thigh and left arm have no flowers, something I didn´t really realize till I got home to edit the photos. No big deal but definately a thing I will not screw up next time if we do something similar again.

Lighting is three lights, one softbox from front/right, another hanging in a boom directly over her and a third light with honeycomb from behind/left for extra hairlight.

As for post processing, wanted a brown backround but only had black in studio and had no time to get a brown one so I dyed it in photoshop, other than that it´s very basic raw conversion, a little dodge burn and curves. Added a sepia layer with low opacity for some extra brown tones.

Oh and the idea came from a photo me and Henny had seen of Heidi Klum wearing somewhat similar body paint and butterflies, we couldn´t find it online though so if anyone can, please share the link so people can compare them, I actually think Kristin looks a bit like Heidi in this photo.

Thanx mouten for that link but nope, not it, she is in a very similar pose as this photo except she is sitting more leaned forward and Heidi´s breasts are showing and with a brown backround wich is much more light brown than this, sitting on the floor and I think she was also holding a butterfly. Not nearly as many flowers on her as on Kristin but instead they were bigger.

This is a super fun shot. the pose is interesting, the model is very well prepared, the lighting is beautiful. I think the only thing I could suggest would be the butterfly on her knee be more apparent that it's a butterfly. I expect this to be taken very well by the community, good luck.

I think the lighting in this image is great, the idea is creative, the pose is nice, the model is attractive...but I'm missing the Wow factor to really make this outstanding. I feel rather foolish even saying that since I really do like this image.

Really nice image. You have gone to a lot of trouble in creating this masterpiece. Composition is great. Model is beautiful and the lighting is very good. Bumping up to a 8

I really like this photo. I think it is one of the most creative in this challenge. I think it would be better if her right arm was hifted a little more to expose a little bit of the breast for outline (shape). I hope this one ribbons! Good luck.

this is amazing. judging from the lighting and the overall greatness of this image, i would have to say this is a 10. could it be the bit L coming out for another ribbon? :D very nice job. this type of image really motivates me to do better. 10

good pose and composition, natural colors. background could be a tad darker. a bit too much painting and butterflies, almost turns a nice image into Kitsch

Cool image. Only critique it's a little hard to tell what the butterfly on the finger is. Better perhaps if the butterfly was tilted more towards the camera? Otherwise, very nice image.

The quality of this is great and your lighting as always professional. I just wish this had more artistic flair to it. The body paint is a step in that direction but not so much your lighting setup but what do I know? I'm just some rank amateur compared to you.

Btw, is this the same model you used for the Single Tree Challenge?

great to see a fully lit color shot here. I really love the lighthearted feel to it. you have done a great job at showing the female form without actually showing anything. my only critique would be more even lighting on her. 9 from me.

Lovely model. Love her expression. Pose is nice, although I believe lifting her right arm slightly so we can see part of the bottom of her breast would have made this shot sexier. Cool body painting. Lighting is adequate. I question the use of brown as a background with this subject (pink or baby blue perhaps?). Cool shot overall! 7

this is such a sweet, crisp and shiny photo amongst the photo's I've voted on now! very fresh!

to really finish the photo, I think I'd paint the flowers on the left leg of the model too. now it looks like that part was forgotten.

lovely lighting, looks good on her.

Wow! You spend a LOT of time on this one. Conceptually I like it. I'm not a huge fan of the brown background and lack of flowers on the left half of the model, but then again it does have a bit of a retro feel to it. The background is personal taste and I can easily overlook it because I do feel like you accomplished your goal to provide us with an image that is straight out of the 1970's.

Looks like a Larus shot! ;) Original! Must have taken quite a lot of time painting these flowers on her! Looking at this I get the feeling of something missing...maybe because of the flowers I expect her to be laying in a field outside in the grass...Great shot still should do well.

Lalli Spalli, bjĂłst viĂ° meira body art, enn....

This is nice, but I think with other lighting you would get better outlines of her body, you se try to draw in her muscles. - 7

Oh how CUTE!! I like the detail of the flowers - nicely done. I also like how they are only on one side of the body, because having some of the skin un-marked helps things not to be a big abstract colorful blur.
