I find the white balance somewhat harsh on the eyes. Nice otherwise.

not really a fan of the high key look here.

aah so sweet!

a bit too bright for me, and I think I'd crop it a bit on the right to get a more balanced photo

OMG THIS IS TOTALLY INNAPROPRIATE! jjk of course, cute baby :D The shot is a tad harsh though, too much white and its all blown out. you can barely make out the wings. This was advanced editing so you could have selectivly whitened the background while also perhaps saturating the baby a tad to bring out the skin tones and hair color.

lights are so heavily blown, the wings are hardly recognizable

Too much form and detail lost in the blown out highlights. With softer lighting, this would have been a great image.

Oh, I hope you aren't getting killed for having a baby in this challenge. Because I love baby photos so much, but I think they may be kinda hard on them in any challenge -- but maybe more so in this one. I hope not. I think its cute, and I like the high key look alot. Good luck!

Kinda too bright, but to me it give me the feeling of "life", so it actually works.

Cute , but a bit too high key for me. I can't see the difference between his back and the background. If I look really hard, I think I can see some wings on his back. Maybe my monitor is too bright, or yours is too dark.. or both.

A bit too much on the bright side for me.

Typically with a high key infant shot, I prefer to see a softer focus. I'm afraid you've pushed this one a bit too far and what appears to be wings of some sort get lost in all the brightness. Poses like this also work better if the legs are under the baby. I do realize this is difficult to achieve, but with a little care and patience, you can eventually get it. Next time, try lighting the background from an angle behind the baby with a softer fill flash to light the baby. I've used an off camera slave flash on white foamboard behind the baby and a softer strobe to light the baby on this exact same shot in the past. You've got a good start, a little more experimentation and practice will get you a much better shot.

A lovely shot. I feel the top is a little burnt out, rather than high key though.

too high-key? (can barely see the wings, but it may be this monitor...)

then again, this IS someone's little angel, and that is most important
