Love my macro lens, and I had so much fun taking shots for this Shallow DOF challenge.

I have a wonderful collection of cactus and succulant plants. My husband Peter brought them for me for Xmas, so have been photographing them all, with my macro lens.

I picked this one out, for Shallow DOF, as I love the composition, colors, and true shallow DOF, thats fading into the backgound.

The close detail on this plant has those amazing colors & textures on it, that I love.

i like the composition, i think you may have added a little too much sharpening, though

Voted earlier Back to comment,Likt the pastel feel to this, and the Dof is very good, if you look at the front centre, the base is in focus, yet the end of the spikes are out of focus, IMO that is real Shallow DOF.Bump to ...9

Good Shallow DOF, like the way each row is more out of the field, and good color.
