 Shot taken by reversing the 18-55 kit lens and using it as a macro lens, the DOF you get is minimal to say the least, first time I have taken a shot like this and the first one I have put on this site, I hope it is to your liking.

Using this technique you are unable to set the aperture or focus in the normal way so I had to focus by moving the camera back and forth until I was happy, it took a few shots to get it right. The colours are as they were when I took the shot and on camera flash was used, no manipulation was used apart from cropping slightly.

I like how the center looks like a sunburst however I feel the DOF is too shallow as some of the stamen tips are OOF and the center piece is out of focus though thats not as bothersome as the former.

I miss some focus here the effect of "shallow DOF" is very hard to see - nice colors - good luck
