 OK, found a flat container (a plastic tub lid) filled it with milk, initially I was going for completely white to keep VERY minimilistic. However I couldn't get the contrast in the drop that way, eventually decided to try and add some food colouring to the milk I was dripping in, and it came out quite nicely. I used my long lens so that I could keep a relatively shallow depth of field and also come down to a lower angle so the shot looked slightly different to all the other `water drop` shots out there.
I took literally HUNDREDS of shots before I got one I really liked.

Oh, also, I used my old 300D body instead of my 5D as the 1.6x crop was a godsend..

And I wish we could of used the clone tool to get rid of those teeny teeny little drops I expect everyone to comment on..

Well done for a minimal editing challenge ... though I'll bet you wished for even basic editing rules. :)

Yes, this should do very well :) I like the whole pastel color theme going on. The composition is minimal, the negative space works really well. Minimalism at it's best.
