Nice subject, however the photo seems a little blurry and out of focus. Im not sure if this was the right photo to choose. I love the idea though.

I don't see much that is minimal about this image; it also has some issues with exposure and composition (it has a faded look that doesn't appeal to me), though I like the crossing vertical lines of the reptile with the branch.

He's just too large in the frame for me to feel the minimalism. Yes, he is small, but there's no real conveyance of his size in the photo.
