 A duck that dropped in to visit a canal in Central Belgium. I blew about 50 frames on this guy while he kept diving UNDER the water and I got many shots of just his butt or butt splash LOL ... before he stuck is beak into the water sucking on something and stayed still enough long enough for a good shot in the poor light. I was panning on a tripod at 1/80 sec.

Focal Length 63mm. Polarizing filter attached.

Crop ... Auto Color ... Adjust Brightness and Contrast. Spot dodge and sharpen areas on duck for uniformity. Spot sharpen duck eye. Blur tool in water around duck to make it stand out from the water a tad more. Pull back contrast in some blown out areas in the water. Resize. USM. Save for web.

WOW! A useable wildlife shot at 1/80 of a second on a dreary day. WOOT!

hard to comment on it, my glasses are dirty.... no, hang on, it's a blurry photo.... not sure why people post these. This is an auto deleter!!

Water looks like glass. Ripples all lead nicely to the duck.

This shot look blurry to me and also overexposed and possibly like you made to much of an effort to try and sharpen it up. I like the idea of the shot but I think the things I mentioned above really detract from the shot a little too much for me to be able to enjoy it. Good luck with the challenge!!!
