I've been feeling a bit out of sorts lately. I'm sort of in a funk with the whole photography thing. So maybe you all can help me. Take a look at the thumbnails in my portfolio and based on* that, tell me what emotion you'd like to see me photograph. And if enough people answer, I can take the most-suggested one. And I'll do a series of photos based on that emotion.

*by "based on" I mean something in general.. like you'd like to see me do more of a certain emotion or you think I'd be good at a certain one or whatever you think.

Hmm.... an emotion, huh? OK, here's a challenge. Lots of us get in funks of some sort or another now and then - how about starting out with something that represents that, then trying to find pockets of joy or happiness to get beyond that? I know, it sounds weird. But I'm betting if anyone can find a way to express it, you can. :-)

I found it horrendiously ironic that when I went to take some shots... I temporarily forgot how to turn my camera on.

LOL. I love the pose. It's also fun to think that this is like an out-of-body experience: you're showing yourself being confused by your camera, but somehow something ELSE is recording that moment.

i've been looking at this for about 10 minutes, trying to come up with an intelligent thing to say, and failing miserably. it's funny, and i like it. there. and, yeah, we've all done that kinda thing.

This is so very much you! Love the purple, love the angle, but what really makes this shot for me is the light creeping in the door. This is the perfect first shot. The angle, the motion shift, your position with your hand to your head and a sort of "oh crap, I'm lost" look is perfect for a "funk" - then look - and some might miss it if they don't look closely - there's light creeping in the door, right behind you. Perfect!!

(And you're WAY too young to be forgetting things already. I'm at the point where I think I should tattoo my name on my person somewhere so I'll remember who I am....)
