Everything is moving, I do not feel that this depicts the assignment.

well, you had a great idea, but somehow, i don't think it quite worked out. i love this type of shot, but i don't think this is quite stable enough to do well in the challenge.

Not quite there yet.... in my opinion, a successful motion panning photo has at least SOME of the subject in clear focus, whilst the background shows the tell-tale streaks.

i thought the idea was to focus on something and capture the shot while panning, remaining focused on the subject. Im not sure what the subject is in this shot.

for me, this nearly works and is nearly a good shot.
but not quite.
it's a little too dark and ther seems to be too much blur in the bus.

if you had the bus nice and sharp this would have been a great shot, nice try

I think you should have put the camera on a tripod, it would be have been come nice and stable.

There is no defined subject to establish panning.

Love the image. Probably shows too much motion blur for the challenge though.

wow, your subject is a little blurry.

The primary purpose in motion panning is to capture a clear image of a moving subject that is possible only by smoothly twisting as you follow the main subject and take the picture. You will usually use a longer exposure time to show the subject's movement against the background. That produces a very smooth motion blur in the background.

In this image it is clear there is jerky motion and because of that the bus is not clear. You will see many good examples of fine motion panning on many of the images in this challenge.

good try on this. It would be great if the bus was sharper. Hard to do (and I know) but I like the effect otherwise. 6
