This is an excellent B&W portrait. I do prefer it to the one in color, but I tend to prefer most everything in B&W. Good tonal range, crisp, sharp.

Like it both ways for diffeent reasons. Color seems more lifelike, more vibrant, but this is more stoic, more statuesque (if that's a word). Great portrait either way.

Agreed nice detail, great angle. Perhaps some post processing on the glasses to dial down the reflections and dial up the sharpeness to match the great detail you have here.Message edited by author 2007-01-14 05:04:21.

i think i prefer this one better. i like the angle you've choosen. &the glasses and the shark's tooth seem to represent two different personalities to me.

Usually an image lends itself one way or another to either B&W or color. With this one they both work well either way!
