Morning outing to one of my favourite places. The chickadees were out in force despite the weather, snowing, windy and about -20C.
Lightroom: ev +1.21, recovery +33, blacks +12
brightness + 72, contrast + 25
vibrance + 21
hilights +100, lights +100, darks -24, shadows +53
sharpen & de-noise 0
PS:highlight/shadow, highpass with overlay, curves, hue/sat (red -100, magenta -50, yellow +15)
Lightroom: crop slightly, sharpen +12, denoise +27, resize

| This is a very nice capture of something rare. Shows how resilient these little critters are compared to us. I just keep going back to view it. I would never have thought these birds to be out and about at that temperature. |

| Remind me next time I complain about the weather that I should count myself lucky, as I could weigh just 2 oz. and be clinging to a tree branch outside. Revisiting this, still a fave. Can't imagine what the voters were thinking, not to rate it higher. |
