I was very much in two minds about leaving the light flare, but decided to keep it because I wanted to emphasize the harsh aspect of the image. Also, I wanted the composition to put more emphasis on the trash than the tents.
There is a UPS building off to the left with a very bright display screen showing the US flag on a regular basis; I really wanted to get it, but just couldn't get everything to line up. |

a fine idea. the trash in the foreground and the brightness of the light on the left are very distracting; the 'home', I'm thinking, gets lost in these two elements; too much street; I love the colors though. this is near Potrero Hill in SF, isn't it? |

The trash in the foreground is great, but the light and the lens flare are distracting. |

cool pic but i would get closer to the tent. at first it's hard to tell that's what the picture is of. |

Do you have any room? I don't take up much space! Nice shot, inventive! |

Good shot, the coloring and subject are great. Decent composition, but I would have straightened out the horizon. The low angle is nice and that piece of plastic on the ground is a nice touch, can't decide if it's plastic, a smushed can, or a used condom, but it does add to the picture. The tent is just in the right spot. |

I like what you are showing here, but the curb being crooked throws it off for me. If the curb had been placed in the lower third of the photo, I think the crookedness would have worked better.(You could have kicked that garbage up a little!) |
