Set up with two black posterboards and candles. Used very dim overhead light as well. Forgot to change white balance, so added a 23% cooling filter in PS.
1) USM 350%
2) Dodged whites on devil's face, selected his body, then increased red saturation
3) Dodged on hand to bring out a few more details

This is a good idea for a strange song title! I think it might have done better if it were just a bit lighter. Especially on CRTs, you can barely see any detail on the hand.

Wow......we got killed in this challenge and I don't know why. The lighting, the glow around the flames, the definition of the hand, the composition, focus, thirds, solid negative space in the left third.....all really well executed. VERY nice!

I don't know what you were worried about. I think it's a cute shot. I don't think it's wierd. I gave it a 7.

LOL! Love the interpretation! Reds are very strong, good capture of the candle flames (which is hard to do!) and the devil is just plain cheeky. My only nit would be that it takes a second to see the hand. Just a touch more light coming from over the right shoulder would have provided some illumination on the hand and the page. Still, quite the delightful response to the challenge!

shot perfectly and very fitting for a tough song title.

Wicked. Wait ... don't "panic" ... I like it. I wish the pointer finger and thumb was as light and sharp as the others. Good luck, this is a tough title.

I like the way you've done this. Other people simply had big sins on paper, but here you've used imagery to allude to the sinfulness being writting. Clever. Although the composition could be improved to make it a stronger image (that dead black space in the top left seems to unbalance the image).

Very bold, I did not think anyone would try this song.
