 This is my first entry and I didn't think I would make it since my subject has not been feeling well. She would not pose for the camera like she normally does. We had given up all hope and was mostly having fun when I took this picture. Later, when I browsed through the photos on the computer I realized this one might do ok. (but then what do I know)

Removed (very) minor imperfections, darkened the background, discarded color information, cropped, and resized.

I am sorry, but I don't think much of this photo. The focus does not seem to be on the eyes and it lacks an appealing composition. Furthrtmore, I think the picture is grey, rather than bw, it could use more contrast.
