I'm inclined to say that your over-the-top color saturation works for me in this image... almost seems to help deemphasize the background fruit without obscuring them altogether. I even like the centered composition, except for the presence of the hand. Your little finger sticks out like a sore thumb :o) (ah just joking) Eye-catching image.
