Challenge: Black and White Portrait II (Advanced Editing V*)
Camera: Nikon D80
Lens: Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II
Location: Goose Creek, SC
Date: Jan 7, 2007
Aperture: f/4.8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/30
Galleries: Portraiture, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Jan 7, 2007

Crop, New Layers from channels and varied the opacity. Burned some of the shine off the tip of my nose, healed a spot or two, resized, SFW.

Not sure how this one will do, as I have done no portrait shots before, much less in B&W. Every day is a learning experience, though. I know that dark pictures don't normally do to well here, but I hope to get some really constructive comments on this one. We'll see. :)

I really like this one, you have it on your profile and I always think that the lighting is wonderful and the man is very handsome, good portrailal of sadness in the eyes and the tilt of the head. great shot

Good lighting. The right cheek looks a bit overexposed, though. Some fill light on the left side would compress the range of tones some without loosing the dramatic quality of the light.
