What can I say? I tried out this composition for a lark and rather liked the results, especially the textures of the bruised fruit and the slightly pitted old earthenware bowl. Shot in color, desaturated, toned slightly, cropped, and sharpened.

Wonderful yin-yang composition. This would've gotten high marks from me, especially since it meets the challenge so well. It would've been one of my highest scorers.

I like this. I would like it better if you'd squared it up without showing the edges of the bowl. JMO of course. :D Good luck in the challenge.

Great still life. SO glad you chose to do this in black and white and not in color. Makes the fruit much more interesting.

7 Lovely. Nice lightning and BW treatment. Nice choice of fruits (I mean, good choice of the form).

This is a gorgeous still life. I like the tones and the unusualness of duotone, rather than full color, fruit portrait. The tones make the bananas really pop.
