Thank you all so much for your condolences. It has been tough since his death, but at least he is at peace now in his new life. I knew this was not an award winning photograph, but it was something I needed to do.

I'm very sorry about your brother. This is a fine tribute to his new life in heaven. I'm just a beginner myself and the rule of thirds doesn't mean much to me. I like your picture just as it is

wow that is depressing. I am not sure if this means he his dead, or if someone he know is dead!! Very Sad (7)

I like the angle of this photo. It is nice that the flowers don't go from corner to corner, rather from corner to the edge. Vocus is good and lighting is great. The bouquette in the middle is particularily beautiful. Good luck with the challenge.

I think I'd rather think about how *your* life is new now that your brother isnt directly in it any more. The title suggests irony and perhaps slight morbidity. Death is about change. How death changes *us* and how we cope is both more interesting and more important than what happens to the body. Your picture is well framed and technically fine. This person was obviously well loved. - floyd

Sorry about your brother. Cropping slightly too tight as you have clipped out the ends of the tributes.
08/12/2002 06:36:00 PM
sorry about your loss,

Really your brother? I'm sorry if so, but I do believe in life after death, so your point is well taken. There are some things I know you couldn't control, and this event may have consumed your entire week, but I want to judge it as a photo, not as an experience. Challenge - 5 points. Photo quality and personal impression - 2 points. 7 nards656

Had I had some real time this week, I would have submitted something along these lines. It's nice to see some other people taking different turns with this challenge.

This photo makes me feel very sad. My condolences to the photographer. However, this photo doesn't really meet the requirements of the challenge, IMHO.

This makes me very sad - I've been there. Just proof that not everything that is new is bright, shiny, and fun. lhall
