I don't believe for a minute that this is one of my better photos, but in the spirit of the challenge and for the practice and comments, I decided to go ahead and submit it to see how the voters would react. Perhaps it's because I've been playing Harry Potter video games too much recently, but this reminds me very much of a young wizard casting the "Lumos" spell.

Sorry but for me this is just not a very interesting photo. First off it´s black and white wich means no interesting colors as what is so good about fireworks in the first place. Secondly, there is no real detail in the shot, blown highlights or just pitch black with a hint of a hand in the right corner and I really require image quality to like most shot´s. Unless this is all intentional I encourage you to use a smaller aperture/lower ISO or both next time when shooting fireworks. Thus I voted 3.

Kinda appears to be a desperation entry......

Black and white is not the realm for fireworks shots.

A little too blown out.

The hand holding sparkler is distracting maybe a crop to remove it would help.

b&w is not a good choice for this, it would have been a little better in color. Higher aiming of the camera leaving the light at the bottom outside the frame would have made this simpler and much better. 2 from me, happy new year and good luck.
