 Taken in Butte, Montana. The city is full of abandoned old buildings. Butte has the 2nd largest historical landmark district in the U.S., after New Orleans.

Anyway, I liked the composition, but then realized adding a person and footprints would make it more dynamic...So I set my timer and walked out there. The lighting was pretty nice too. Just before sunset. I wish I could have gotten the camera flare and sun out of it...but when I moved I did't like the composition.

I'd prefer not to see the flare at the left, but otherwise this is a great shot.

As I waited for this image to come up, I could see the title. My DSL was being slow and I expected to see a typical mining shot of some old building that is broken down. The effect you created with the guy and the position of the sun ect really makes this a top notch photo. Great Shot!

Excellent leading line, tone, light and shadow. I like the guy's silhouette to add the human element to the otherwise industrial feel of the shot. I like the sun poking from behind the building on the left. One of the best.
