Drumstick tip shot through a cheap multifaceted lens hand-held in front of the regular lens. Tripod, incandescent light.

Thanks for mentioning the multifaceted lens. Us non-DLSR folks just don't know what kinds of wild and crazy lenses are out there.

Here's the set-up for this shot.

Note that this is a 50-cent kid's multi-faceted lens (often sold as a "kaleidoscope") hand-held in front of the lens of my Olympus D490 P&S camera, not a specialty lens, and my Olympus is about as non-dSLR as it gets these days!

Sorry, but this is like looking at wallpaper. There is nothing that the eye stops on. There is nothing in focus.

This image is out of focus and the cloning makes it hard to tell these are drumsticks. It's a little bit dark, too. Good Luck.

I understand what you're trying to do here, but it doesn't realy come off the way you intend. If anything it looks like several matchsticks. Sorry!
