Dusted off my old SLR to put it up on Ebay. Ironically, the shot was taken with my newly acquired Olympus E-10, the digital camera to replace the somewhat outdated SLR Film camera. Out with the old. In with the new!

Thank you to all that commented on my photo of my old Canon A-1. I tend to agree with all that spoke of the strap coming back into the photo. I thought of 'taking it out' with software, but I didn't want to cheat! Had I had the chance to take it again, I would have followed all of your advice. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment!

Hey, I have one of those and an AE-1 Program and a F-1... Too bad the lenses don’t fit the 300D. Anyhow, I have one minor critique. I don’t like how the strap came back into the shot in the foreground.

Very nice shot! Good soft focus (I'm assuming you did this on purpose here!!!) works well. Like the simple white background and the angle of the shot works well also! Only thing I don't like compositionaly is the shoulder pad part of the strap in the front bottom of the shot... Personally I don't really like the soft focus but it DOES work here!

Nice shooting. Nothing negative to say, just compliments to you! Good luck.

nice use of negative space - i like the angle of the subject and the eay the strap comes back into frame to brake up the space in the bottom left corner. however, the subject doesn't really get any kind of response from me. i think that is the difference between a still life and a nice picture of an inanimate object. but well done all the same. it get a 6 from me - would have been higher if i had an emotional response from it.

traitor... you're auctioning off your trusty Canon workhorse... we'll see if your digicam is gonna last as long as that solid ole hunk of metal. just kidding of course. Lighting is nice, just the plastic strap thing in the corner doesn't belong there. in fact I think it would look better if it wasn't on the camera at all.
